Morning splash--Dull and only 5 so I guess I dash fromonne door to the next and don't tarry outside today. I start with the vascular surgeon and I think he should be happy the incision is healeed and the last staples can come out. Then on to bloodwork and finally a meeting with the onocologist(thats just to touch base and keep me in the books.I have a feeling that a lot of people will give to the charity shops but heaven forbid they get anything to wear.Puzzles and books are okay and the occasional kitchen gadget but most people that is as far as they go--Unless of course you are in that level that requires you to shop in thos stores. Off to get busy before I go--Have a good day.

Hello Ed, I started to learn Italian when Hope and I went to Europe. Hope was reasonably fluent in French thanks to her education. We, or perhaps I decided that I should learn Italian. Hope and I parted for a little time when we were in Italy. She had fallen for a man and that was not a part of my holiday plan. So I travelled alone in Italy for a while. On the whole most of the Italians that I met were so happy that I was trying to learn their language. A receptionist at the hotel that I was staying in gave me morning lessons. Now I must really go to bed. Buona notte!

Ciao, ED, come stai? Grazie uno Mallard. Haha not sure how to say 'for the'. I could ask Anton tommorrow at the art group. I did  some painting this afternoon. So far I am happy. That is a great idea of yours about Christmas gifts being purchased at Charity shops. Do you have Black Friday sales there in the UK? Advertising here is saturated with it. In fact some retail outlets call it black November meaning that it is all month long. Totally crazy! It is a retail sales promotion that comes from the USA, a retail sale that precedes their Thanksgiving festival. Haha I will not be surprised if in a few years Thanksgiving will be a thing here with retail outlets. Despite my complaining I am enjoying looking at my books re. Italiano. Ciao!

Hello ED, the books I found were in our dumping trailer so I was not happy about them being dumped. My superviser, Jan, certainly steam cleans good items of clothing. Not sure about people working on other days. It is a lovely warm Spring day here and I will soon be working on my water colour painting outside. I am actually wearing a T shirt for the first time in months. Mondays are certainly a favourite day for me. Wednesdays due to art group is another and of course any day that I visit Mum despite hating the drive. I guess that you are asleep at the moment.

Hello ED TY for the Mallard. Haha if you have coats that you have not worn for 20 years you should get rid of them. Liberate your wardrobe.  I am now going inside to make dinner. It is my first T shirt day for the season.

Hello ED, glad to hear that you enjoyed you time at Sausage's house. I had the usual lovely time with the Monday Morning Coffee Club. Always so much to talk about. 6 of us there this morning. One of the group suggested that we have a working bee to help Frank, the owner, deal with much needed work outside. We all agreed. Frank has projects started everywhere, however none of them are seen through to completion. He is a funny, grumpy man and yet we all like him and certainly want the shop to stay open. Then this afternoon it was the Op shop for me. There was a MOUNTAIN of donations and the usual Monday sign saying, please no donations today. Amazingly I looked at my book trolley and there were no new adult books. Then some of the main back room staff came in and expressed amazement. "This room was full of books this morning." Haha I smelt a rat. I went into the room where we have a trailor for junk. Sure enough it was full of books. I rescued as many as I could. One tub defeated me as another tub on top of it was too heavy for me to lift. I rescued so many books. A lot of them were beautiful ART books. I showed them to my superviser and although we are not supposed to remove items f
