Hello Ed, once again we are at each other's gate. I love that. The ants were little ones. Hopefully I have solved it with nasty sprays. I think that I know the alphabet that you purchased. A couple of years ago  my grandaughter, Arja had them here for her children. I still sometimes find them attached to things outside. lthough it is still daylight I am looking forward to bed and hopefully finish my book. I am enjoying the book. Alexander McCall Smith is an amusing author. Mungo is inside and now I just hve to get Mindy in. Enjoy your day.

Hello ED, connection with the alphabet certainly helps. Are they in capital letters? Much prefered for the little ones. Spelling is tricky as the letter A can be sounded 'Ay' or 'ah'. B can be 'Bee or bu.' and so on.  And have a look in a dictionary re the spelling of 'H'. Facinating. It all depends on if you went to a Catholic school or protestant school. Back to cleaning. Enjoy your day.

Hello Ed, Frank passed the inspection. The only thing he has to do is get a dishwasher for the area that he cooks in. Went for my coffee this morning nd the shop was closed due to an electrical problem. So I drove into Rye to get a few groceries and purchased a coffee there. I hope that he is open tomorrow as I really want to buy my fruit and veggies there. Then I went into the room that Shannon and family will occupy to vaccuum. I discovered lots of ants in there. Just what I needed. So now I have a spray going and the room is closed off. I guess that I will have to vaccuum again when I can enter the room. I will also spray around the outside where I think that the ants are coming in. Now to work on my Library putting away my art materials and a general tidy up in there. Working my way to the front of the house. Enjoy your new day.

Morning splash===field mouse ty It is overcast and -7 this morning but I should be fine as I will be in the kitchen shortly and working over the stove and oven at least for the morning.Holy smoke--did she have all thos cakes left over--its good that you found good homes for them all though. Got the laundry all done and cleared away until after Christmas I hope. There was several women down in the laundry room yesterday so had a nice morning visit.Today will be nuts and bolts(finally found my missing ingredients hiding in the closet behind the pop) and willl make the hot dog and cheese bits and then maybe get to some more parcel construction . Even though I am not doing the goodie boxes still have then all to deal with. As long as I am able I will continue with them all  and I have a couple of new ones to add to the list--Jess's boyfriend will be here for boxing day and her best girl friend would rathe come to our family gathering beside she is the one who cuts my hair for free. Off to get a start at my list--don't know if there is any golf on but I think there will be some curling. Have a good day

Hello Ed, was your friend in my Rye not the UK Rye? My Rye is certainly a lovely place to live in and visit. Funny how many of our seaside towns are named after UK towns. Rye, Sorrento, Portsea. And you may even have a Blairgowrie which is the next town to me. I will speak to my Dr. re a sign for my car however it will not help with the construction going on. The tradies have taken over. They arrive early morning and fill our car parking with their utes etc. Last week they put up a sign saying, "Lunch Area.' in our car parking spaces. Someone must have complained as the sign went down and then they placed  a large container for refuse there. So the battle goes on. I am thinking about writing to the local newspaper about this. In the mean while I am also thinking about bed and finishing my book. Enjoy your day.

Hello ED, I guess that the angels were looking after Sandra. Sad about your old mate. At least he has you. 30 degrees here today. I am home again after working at the OP shop. One of my first students contacted me yesterday and she and her family will be staying near me at Rye. They are staying at Anton's (art group and also from Mansfield) Klyti, my former student's family owned the farm that a lot of the Man From Snowy River was filmed at. Not sure if you have seen the film? There is an iconic horse ride down a steep incline and that was on her family's farm. The film actually had its world premier in Mansfield. Today when I arrived at the back of the shop the shared car park was full of tradies utes. 2 doors down a unit of flats is being built. The build actually should not be using our carpark.  I had to park at the supermarket and crossed fingers that I would not get a fine. I was glad that I had my walking stick in the car as I had step up and down over unfriendly blocks to walkers like me. I usually only use the stick when I go to the beach. It helps me feel safer on my wonky knees. Any way no fine for staying in the supermarket car park for longer than allowed. If I get one in the mail I will fight it as the construction people really shouldn't be using our car parking spaces. I am sure that you will here more from me about this as Summer progresses and the tourists all arrive. DEspite all of that I did have a lovely day again at the op shop. Such a great team.
