Hello ED, How did the birds cope with your newly cleaned window sills? I have a feeling that it wouldn't bother them. In Melbourne, there is a tall building that a pair of Peregine Falcons return to each year to nest. They make their nest many stories up and the ledge is so small. Here at Rye we also have a pair nesting on an impossible cliff face quite near me. I enjoyed my usual Monday Morning Coffee Club and my book about Cherry the Japanese war bride was returned to me, however another member wanted to read it. I worked at the oppie this afternoon and as is usual for a Monday we had a sign on the door stating 'No Donations Today.' Sometime last week someone dumped a large mattress in front of the shop despite our signs saying 'No Furniture'. We put a sign on it saying 'Free.' however it is still there. I do wonder about people as our shop is clearly small and has no room for furniture. However once again I had a lovely afternoon with my fellow workers. I even managed to get a car parking space behind the shop. It was tricky as I had to go past a huge concrete mixing truck that was blocking most of the area and then wriggle and jiggle my car  into the space. I did worry about getting out again however the big trucks seem to leave before 4 o'clock. Now I have heated some garlic bread and will heat my Pea and Ham  soup. Enjoy your day!

Morning splash-- pygmy mouse ty. So far the weather seems to have not listened to the forecast as it is sunny and 9.blue  skies and no rain/snow coming down. Kevin and I went for my shopping trip before turkey season, I think I should be well stocked up now                                                                                               and if not I guess I rely on SIL and daughter, Kevin even decided my floors felt sticky so they all got washed before he left. With the covid shot here it is advertised when it comes oiut and seniors can just go to the pharmacy to get it but like a lot of people I have skipped it now for a couple of years but never miss my flu sho!!I shall  watch golf again today and see how things go-- I don't know how Sheffler can find that gear he does  but Fitzgerald doesn't seem to be getting flustered yet,a lot of players grouped together so maye interesting. The weather man is wrong so far-- sunshine, and 8 with blue skies but that can change very quickly--I also discovered this morning they still have the heat on--Have a goodd day.

Hello Ed, THANK YOU for the Peace Dove. What is fly tipping? Guessing that it means when people dump rubbish for others to deal with? When you have a strong dream as you did about your son I suggest writing as much as you can recall in a book as soon as possible. Now it is time for me to go to bed. I am reading a book about a lady who opened an Australian book shop in Paris. True story. I am only a few chapters in and already finding it facinating. Enjoy your new day.

Hello Ed, that audio books sounds interesting. I do enjoy reading about the English Language. One of my favourites is Bill Bryson's, 'Mother Tongue.' I also love reading about the history of the Oxford English Dictionary and the many people who sent in words. 'The Surgeon of Crowthorne' by Simon Winchester is one of my  favourites. I most likely have already told you this. That is a strange thing that your Library is doing re. charging you to request a book. I don't blame you for feeling upset about that. Are your Libraries run by the local council? Ours are. We pay rates and this should be a free service. And speaking of local councils, did I tell you that my local council will charge rate payers nearly $200 to clean up the mess that tourists leave on our beaches, parks and road sides. I plan to challenge that as I have always cleaned up litter when I go for walks. I have photos to prove it of the litter that I have collected at my beach over the years. Gosh am I turning into a grumpy old woman? Re. Mum, I am fairly sure that she will spend some time on the Island. I will give my brother, Chris,  a call today just to check in. Enjoy your day!

Morning splash-- We are starting the day fine--cloudy but 12--then it is downhill all the way. If the forecast is  right we could have snow flurries tomorrow!! Hardly anyone is getting covid shots here anymore and don't seem concerned about it.I see from reading Dianne's post that you were asking about a cat the is regal with a crown and yes it was me--Kevin awhile back found a picture that looks like Sagwa but he has a ccrown and all the royal clothing on==came up in my memories so I repossted it and use it as a profile picture. Off this morning with Kevin so I will be stockedup when he is off for 2 weeks hunting the turkeys(starting next weekend) Have a good day

Hello Ed, TY for the Mouse and PD. I think that the cat photo you refferred to was from Canadian Diane. Her cat, Sagwa, is a Siamese and she also sent me the photo of a Crowned Siamese. My adopted cat Mindy thinks that she is a queen and ruler of the house however Mungo and I think otherwise. Today a photo memory of Mungo as a kitten appeared on FB however I am sure that I did not repost it. If the photo of the cat had a crown it was from Canadian Diane. Now I am REALLY GOING TO BED! Hello Ed, TY for the Mallard. I did ask Mum the same questions that you have asked me. I suggested that Allen, my nephew who has the key to her unit, gathers up her knitting materials so that she can take them to the Island. They are easy to access as they all around her favourite chair. Mum told me that she was lookng forward to a few beach walks. I will let the boys know. Mum also showed me the Suduko book that I gave to her in hospital
and it is almost finished. Mum is still quite switched on mentally. She has also been learning new card games at the respite hospital and loves those sessions. When I was a child card games were always such fun. Mum and Dad also taught me Majong. A Chinese game with tiles. Now it is almost 9 p.m and I am looking forward to bed and a book. Enjoy your day.
