Morning splash-- bee eater tty. It is sunny and only 4 here and supposed to be rain this afternoon lasting until tomorrow and then warming up for the first long weekend to start the summer campers off.I think Kevin will be over on the weekend so we will go fill up all my depleted shelves again. Maybe you need to do a clean out and check the dates on everything. I quite often have jello ;but even that is getting so expensive,. When it is almost set I add creame to it and whipit, not so jiggly and stays on the spoon better. I hope the missing hearing aides can be solve soon, you did check in the bedding in case she wore them to bed. Have a good day and hope the grocery shop goes well and the check with the hairdresser produces something.

Hello Ed, me again. I just read your post re. how Op shops thank their volunteers here. My shop certainly does! If it is your birthday week there will always be a cake. And at Christmas there is a luncheon, not sure if we have to pay for it as I do not go due the Shannon and family arriving at the same time. However we are all given a box of chocolates.

Hello ED, good luck with your search. I went to the Hairdressers today. Enjoying my new styling. Before I left I had problems with my battery operated car key. I knew that one of the keys was low on battery when the other one failed I started to worry. I gripped it tightly and then it worked. Phew! I drove around the corner to get a coffee leaving my car unlocked so no problems there. A friend showed me how to access the actual key. Then arrived at the hairdressers with a minute to spare. Parked my car in front of the hairdresser's and left it unlocked as it so quiet here at the moment. Something I would not usually do. Happily it was still there when I came out. Then drove to my mechanic who instantly changed the batteries in both my keys and gave me another tip should it happen again. It seems that if I have to use the actual key to unlock my car all I have to do is press the top end of the battery key to my starter button and it will work. He also told me that when I gripped one of the keys tightly in my hand as I was panicking I had actually enabled it to briefly work. So I did learn a few things today. Now both keys have new batteries. Phew! Enjoy your new day!

Good morning--we also have sunshine and its only 5 so like you I hope it warms some even though I will be in today trying to do a catch up as I always am. I watched the golf to the end(nothing else on as I didn't want to watch baseball or soccer)and it turned into sort of thrilling at the end hoping to see the second Norwegian win in the PGA--What happened to Rory?? he was soo puffed up to start but fell a little flat. As they say --You have to be able to do what you say!! Glad you have a solution for the hearing aid problem but the big question is wheere did they goHave a good day

Hello Ed,  It seems we were at each other's gate a few minutes ago. I hope that you can locate the hearing aids. Enjoy your trip into town and the coffee! TTFN

Hello Ed, that is a good idea to have your main meal at lunch time. Did it work? Not sure what has happened to Evelyn? Yes today is one of my busiest and happiest days. Re. the Monday Morning Coffee Club, inside is a small shop that sells organic veggies and groceries. No room to sit inside.  As we all mostly walk there we dress for the occaision. Frank, the owner, provides blankets for customers who want to sit and drink their coffee outside. As usual there was was a lot of laughter and good conversations. Then another enjoyable afternoon working at the oppie. Well apart from one sad thing. When I arrived 2 of the ladies were excited to show me many really old books that had earlier been donated by a book collecter. They couldn't wait for me to arrive. Sadly the books were full of what collectors and Librarians know as book cancer. I had to discard them because they cannot touch other books as the mould spreads even to new books. Did you know that? I taught them how to know the signs. Apart from that we all had a great afternoon together. Now night has fallen as it does early here going into Winter. My cats are waiting to be fed and I will soon reheat my leftovers from last night.Enjoy your new day!

Morning splash-- It is a beautiful sunny day,a little cool but should warm up. Its mothers day here today so have heard from Scott and Kevin yesterday and will be off with Kristine shortly to get the few things I need and want from the grocery store. After that I will retire to the quiet of home as I really don't have patience for all the nonsense in the grocery store ,like people leaving their carts in the middle of an aisle while they wander looking for whatever,or the letting the kids run wild all over the store.I never wear my hearing aides to bed but I know a lot of people who have lost them in bed, mine come out and get plugged in ,in their own little charge box ,so hopefully I can continue to keep that up. Sounds like you have a treasure hunt on your hands, the case of the missing hearing aides. I hope you can find them and it sounds like things are starting to really get a little bit troublesome and you are the only one to be caring and doing for Sandra, Have a good Sunday.

Hello Ed, I guess that we were at each others farm gate. I am about to snuggle down and read a book. A much lighter read. 'The Tea Ladies of St Jude's Hospital' by Joanna Nell. I have really enjoyed 2 other books that she wrote. 'The Single Ladies of Jacaranda Retirement Village' (I LOVED that book) and also 'The Great Escape from Woodlands Nursing Home.'  Good night ED!
