So hot today. I did all my jobs this morning,  so I could read in front of the fan this afternoon.

Splashed-- p-p ty We are sunny and 23 right now so I expect it will be another hot one and shut the window and door and turn on the a/c. It is the first of July holiday--Canada da- but not much of a holiday this year as it is on a Tues. --a lot of people have to work Mon. have Tues off and back to work on Wed. But then with the way things work a lot can just take a personal day and have a extra long weekend.  I have a nurse coming this morning and thenthe rest of the day is mine(probably turn on golf and that will be my day--I did watch most of it--a minus 6 is one of the lowest cut off points(seems a lot of records are falling lately)As soon as this tournament is done I guess the course is going to be ripped up and changed.Have a good day and if you get company I hope you enjoy it.

Hello ED, tonight I managed to stay awake through QI. It was so funny. Not pressing my luck so I am off the couch and doing a bit of F/B and then bed. Now in the Library only to find Mindy on my comfortable desk chair so I am sitting on a hard wooden one. That should keep me awake. Although not for long as I soon plan to snuggle in bed. It is always an enjoyable visit with Mum. The drive to and from is tiring but worth it. I have been noticing lately that Mum looks down when speaking to me, just like someone who is almost blind. As she may soon be. That is a worry. When she wears her glasses to read I have more eye contact with her. She really should get bi focals and wear them at all times, something that we have slightly discussed. I think that it a conversation that my brothers and I should have with her. I have been wearing bi focals for a number of years now. Strangely enough, lately I have found that my long vision is improving. I now remove my glasses whilst watching TV across the room and see things clearer. Funny story, some years ago at school I had a class of Grade ones in the Library and for some reason I took my glasses off. A little girl asked me to put them back on as I didn't look like Dianne. Now I must go to bed. Enjoy your day.

Hello Ed, QI is a funny British quiz show however it comes on after Hard Quiz that I watch whilst eating dinner. Then I snuggle down on the couch. A recipe for sleep. I always wake sometime after and do a bit of F/B and then really retire. Today I went to Mum's for the afternoon. She lost a dear friend Nancy about a month ago and Nancy's daughter has now given all of Nancy's crafting materials to Mum. I was there a week ago when Sue, Nancy's daughter gave Mum the first load. I asked Sue if Mum couldn't use it was she OK with me taking it to the Op shop. She was. I called Mum the other day and one of the first things that she said to me was, "Oh Dianne, my back room is full of Nancy's craft materials." I knew that I had to get there ASAP as Mum has been enjoying her uncluttered unit after the rennovations. So happily I went to Mum's today with a take away coffees and sandwiches for lunch. My usual thing. And yes, Mum's lovely back room was full. Now my car is full and Mum's back room restored to how she wants it. Interesting I spotted to small cases near a chair. "What's in there Mum?" One was a brief case seemingly full of Dad's Navy records. Something that Mum gas to sort out. The other was a Majong set. As a family I recall many happy hours playing Majong. Dad came home from the Navy with a set and I think that it is made of ivory. I have it here although I think that a few pieces are missing. I had to ask, "Mum will you ever play it again?" She replied, "No one plays it here and I have forgotten how to." Me, "Can I please have it? Amira can reteach the rules of the game and I loved playing it." Amira is Chinese /  Lebonese and her mother plays Majong on line.  Now I have the set and can try and match it to Dad's original tiles to find what may be missing, if any. Enjoy your day.

Oh! Busy day yesterday.  Shopping, then trying to sort my mobile phone out. Went to curry's and Tecso mobile for advice. None the wiser.  It's only 18 months old, but just recently changed contract.
Its messed everything up.
Then got stuck in Mosque/ school traffic. An hour to do 10 minute journey. Once home, quick shower and off to Matt for the evening. His flat really does have a great view.  We spent the evening on the balcony trying to identify buildings.

Morning splash-- I was up at 5am but too early so took a pill and went to bed--it is now 9am .sunny and 19 and looks like a day I may get some of those jobs put aside during the heat wave at least looked at. Shame about your buddy but you just never know what some people are living with and want out of. I figure may as well wish them luck and move on as it is not my life. Mine and Sagwa's pills should be all straightened around,I do like usually just phoning and that afternoon my pills are here. I think the lady that took the phone message dropped the balll as they were all ready but just in with the to-be-picked up Have a good day.

Hello Ed, not a good idea eating toast and marmalade whilst typing. Haha I do enjoy marmalade. Dinner now done and I watched  2 quizz shows. I did drift off whilst watching QI as usual. Now it is time for bed and a book. Enjoy your day. Good night from me.

Hello ED, TY for the Peace Dove. How nice that Talia / Sausage dropped in and did a puzzle with you. What does Sandra do when you take over your family with puzzles? Does she join in? That would have been a shock for you re. your friend leaving his wife. I worked at the Op shop today. There were many donated books however I managed to get through most of them. Have a great day.
