Hello Ed, TY for the Mallard. I recall Mum buying a knitting machine. She enjoyed it for awhile however she does prefer needles and doing it herself. I must ask her about it. And as I recall it took up a lot of room.  I have lots of wool from Mum's late friend Nancy. I hope to teach my grandchildren to knit this Summer. Just like I hoped to teach them marbles. I didn't get space for the marbles game when they were all here. In Steiner / Waldorf schools all children learn to knit usualy in Class 1. They even make their own needles out of wood first. Well, knitting kept me awake after dinner so no falling asleep in front of the TV. It is amazing how fast our grandchildren grow. Enjoy your day.

Hello Ed, I hope the you enjoy the Murder Club. Jennifer has read them all and loves them. I have booked my car in for a service and they will drop me back home and pick me up again. I am relieved about that as it is too far to walk. When I lived in Thornbury I just had to walk around the corner. Not sure what to do this afternoon? Thinking about knitting. Enjoy your day.

Morning splash--pair of love birds ty I have the window and the door open and so far the air doesn not have a smokey smell but then of course way up here the air is the light rarified stuff. I will have to go pick out and order my glasses--could have done it at the optometrists but did that once before and was not happy with the price  of what was so of shoved on me. I will take it slow but need to start to clean up around here. Seen as the dumpster have just been empties will start with one bagof garbage and a bunch of boxes broken down so they are flat. HAVE A GOOD GROCERY SHOP AND DAY.

Hello Ed, oh dear how disapointing for you re. your ping mates. I guess that the chap really needed to talk to someone who listens and I suspect/ know that you listen without judgement. Weird that his lady wanted to talk to you. Perhaps she was trying to work out how she is being judged by his friends? Complicated to be sure.  Dinner now done and if I may so it was yummy. Steak, mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach. All produce from the corner store. No prizes for guessing what I am about to do as soon as I leave F/L. Mindy has already jumped on my Library chair behind me settling in for the night. Enjoy your day.
