It is nice and sunny but  cold this morning.Does this mean you will have a wedding to go to (funny now they seem to get engaged and the wedding is within the year but I guess everything is fast paced now. A nurse came yesterday and the dressing on my leg is dry,I guess the incision was healed thats why no drainage into the vac machine, Have a good day

Hello ED TY for the Mallard. Haha if you have coats that you have not worn for 20 years you should get rid of them. Liberate your wardrobe.  I am now going inside to make dinner. It is my first T shirt day for the season.

Hello ED, glad to hear that you enjoyed you time at Sausage's house. I had the usual lovely time with the Monday Morning Coffee Club. Always so much to talk about. 6 of us there this morning. One of the group suggested that we have a working bee to help Frank, the owner, deal with much needed work outside. We all agreed. Frank has projects started everywhere, however none of them are seen through to completion. He is a funny, grumpy man and yet we all like him and certainly want the shop to stay open. Then this afternoon it was the Op shop for me. There was a MOUNTAIN of donations and the usual Monday sign saying, please no donations today. Amazingly I looked at my book trolley and there were no new adult books. Then some of the main back room staff came in and expressed amazement. "This room was full of books this morning." Haha I smelt a rat. I went into the room where we have a trailor for junk. Sure enough it was full of books. I rescued as many as I could. One tub defeated me as another tub on top of it was too heavy for me to lift. I rescued so many books. A lot of them were beautiful ART books. I showed them to my superviser and although we are not supposed to remove items from the trailer I told her that was what I had done and they were now destined for the Art group in Sorrento where they will be appreciated rather than being thrown into hard rubbish. Jan understands me. Despite that I had my usual happy afternoon with everyone. We have a new volunteer working with us on Mondays. She is not new re the shop just new re. the shift. She is Italian with a lovely accent. A CD came in that was Italian, I showed it to her and we happily spoke about the meaning of words on the disc. Haha I impressed her with my limited knowledge of Italian. I think I have found a new friend. Then on my way home as I was approaching another street wanting to turn right but waiting for the cars to clear my car was bumped into from the rear. I heard the bang, my body went forward. Sigh! I got out and the young driver was so apologetic. We both looked closely at my rear and then her car. Nothing. We were both amazed as we had both felt the shock. Our bodies moved by the impact. We looked again. Nothing. And the car behind her was Vicky from the OP shop. She came and couldn't see anything. The young woman has since given me all her details on my phone. I keep looking at the rear end of my car but cannot see any damage.

Morning splash-- It is a dull morning and 4 at the moment but they are still calling for cold weather(I am sure most people are happy not to have to go out and freeze. It is  strange the vac dressing did not work, unless the incision is healed enough as to not let the fluid out and I don't really want a new hole for that. My nirse really did seem to know what she was doing so don't think we can blame her, Today I will get busy and get everything I need to get done ,done so I can relax with something and watch tv this whole afternoon---curling is on but so is lots of golf(2 big tournaments) so there should be no lack of what I can watch. I see a number of lights appearing on balconies lately and some house have the decorations up but I will not be digging in the storage locker for a bit yet--or until Kevin empties in into the corner of my dining room(Kevin tend to pull everything that even looks like it is Christmasy out and dump it in the apartment so I have to make multable trips getting it back in. But first the cat carrying cage and the wheelchair have to fit in, Have a good Sunday!!

Hello Ed, I am pleased that Sausge got home after her holiday. So funny that once again we are at each other's gate. I had almost signed off from F/L and FB getting ready for bed and wondering about you. And then you popped up. I managed to go through some of my clothing and now have a bag for the Op shop tomorrow and that also means that I now have 2 empty drawers and no plans for filling them.
The clothes were what I wore when teaching and now as I only wear a few outfits OUT they must go. Such a good feeling to get rid of things. Now night has descended and I will soon be in bed. Enjoy your new day.

Hello ED, well despite my pottering around I have acomplished a lot. Re. Day Light Saving I understand why the UK started doing it many years ago. Children walking home from school in the dark is not good. As for me way down south in the world it makes no sense. My daughter Hope who lives in Sydney once complained that the daylight hours here in Victoria are too long for parents trying to encourage children to bed. Haha first world problem. Now I will go back to pottering around.
