My province of Ontario is bigger than Texas and I can see how you would have so many differences as we do too. The north is really rugged...and then in southwestern Ontario it is what they call the banana belt as it can grow things like peaches and grapes. I live sort of midway between that on the Canadian Shield.

Went through Texas once on a Route 66 drive that started in Chicago and ended in Santa Monica. Biggest darn thistles that I had ever seen...were in Texas.

Both of us near water. If I stand at the end of my driveway...and look straight west...when the leaves are off the trees in the fall...I can see the lake. About a twenty minute walk.
