Early evening sprinkly-dinklies Carmen xx I forget that some of our common phrases don't 'translate' over the pond. Flaking out is just kind of flopping down wherever you find yourself because you're hot or tired or worn out. It can be a non-serious thing (as with the dogs and the cat, it's just too warm for them to be bothered) or it can be more serious, for example, a marathon runner flaking out because they're exhausted! Trying to summon the energy to make a sandwich for dinner, it's too hot to cook. I know I keep saying it but I just can't imagine what you're going through. People in my town were in uproar when they had to keep everything shut for three days are the fire at a nearby recycling plant. That this could go on for weeks again, it's awful! What of people who have breathing issues? Asthma? COPD? Bronchitis? Terrible. Just Terrible! Have a magical Monday my marvellous matey xx
