I am a retired teacher. In the lounge of a school I taught at, there was a poster with thousands of stranded starfish, or Sea Stars, as they are properly not fish, on a long, long beach. The figure walking on the beach picked them up, one by one, and tossed them back into the ocean. Someone yelled: Hey! You’ll never save all those starfish, stupid! What good do you think it does to toss them back into the ocean, there’s thousands of them,  it won’t matter! The stick  figure tossed the next one out, and said: It mattered to that one.
That’s what good teachers do. Save every stranded star they can. It matters to the ones you save.
