THE NEGLECTED FAIRY

Oh why do I sigh,
And moan, and cry
About how very much
Time goes by
When I don't pay attention
To my inner fay,
(I really don't want her
To fly away!)
So instead let me sit
And write some lines,
Hoping to get a poem
That really shines,
`Cause the fairy within me
Needs time for fun
Lest she get cranky
And come undone.
If I do a good job,
She'll soar to new heights
When I dust out the cobwebs
And turn on the lights;
Together we'll go
To a magical place
That will put a sweet grin
On her tiny face.
She will flutter her wings,
Sing some sparkling songs
In a place filled with magic,
Where she truly belongs!

Oriole spotted...thank you Bev! I'm sorry to know you've been under the weather and feeling poorly this week. I hope you're recovering nicely. You should enjoy the boys tomorrow. Yes I have 6 more sleeps before we leave on Friday for the coast. I'll come back to moms on Thursday for the night. We leave from here on Friday. I will freeze my garden while I'm away.
