Hi Deirdre - we really could use some rain here. Trees are dying it's been so dry. Visited my dad on Thursday. He continues to fade away. It's a long process for him. He still recognizes me though, and asked if I had been told that both his parents had passed. I said no I hadn't been told. He said yes, they passed about a month ago. So I offered him my condolences.  Of course they have been gone a very long time now. He is between worlds. I do hope he passes peacefully soon. I tidied his room a bit and said we would be back soon. He thanked us for the visit and was in good spirits overall which was a relief. It's a lovely late summer morning here. Hope your preparation for your trip is going well xo

That’s a lovely thought of fth joes but you did a lot for him he’s just showing his appreciation Deirdre . Blowing a gale here think it might rain soon . I’ve changed the bed this morning and washed all the bedding which is now on the maiden in case it rains . Done my ironing going to pick up apples next and then have a coffee . Take care xx
