6. The Fishing Trip
One stormy morning I got up early, hooked the boat to the van, and saw the rain pouring down. I checked the forecast: 50 mph winds, all-day storms.
So I went back inside, undressed, slipped into bed, and cuddled up to my wife. I whispered, “The weather’s awful out there.”
She replied, “Yeah, can you believe my stupid husband’s out fishing in this?”
👉 And that’s when the fight started…

The Lawn Mower
When our mower broke, my wife kept hinting I should fix it. I always had something better to do—like working on the boat or brewing beer.
One day, I came home to find her cutting the grass with sewing scissors. I watched for a minute, went inside, then came back out with a toothbrush.
I handed it to her and said, “When you’re done with the grass, you can sweep the driveway.”
The doctors say I’ll walk again… but I’ll always have a limp.
