Hello Helen, it’s cooled down here today, although a nice sunny afternoon after rain this morning.  I Googled Nicola Cornick and found the book you mentioned - looks interesting.  I like the Plantagenet, Tudor and Welsh (too much Sharon Penman) historical periods.  Next for me will be Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall trilogy, another book I started and put down haha.  I have Haddon Hall on Facebook, I love the photos they put up - they seem to have a very good photographer.  Need to get back to some garden and house projects next week, the rose arches, finally asked for an installation quote for those and then the bathroom sink needs a new cupboard to sit in until we sort out what to do with the whole bathroom.  Hope you can sleep now it’s cooling down :)
