P.S.
Had almost fifty plums from our little plum tree this week and made an Austrian (or German) plum cake from half.  It passed the Jeff taste test so I’ll make another now and freeze it. 

Hello Helen, lovely and warm again (or perhaps too hot?) The garden seems to be thriving on it.  The rose arches may have to wait until September - still waiting on quotes.  So pleased to have got tickets for the Bayeux Tapestry, also September.  I like Tatton Park too and scented roses are wonderful (we’ve one in a pot by the back door).  Not much has happened here other than watching Wimbledon - where did Arthur Fery spring from? Looking forward to the final days now 🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾
