Good morning, you have had awful weather,  I hope that it improves.  Very sad that the soil has been washed from the fields, how do you overcome that?
Yes, we moved back to an area that was familiar to us,  although we had not lived in this village before, so I understand why you would go back to that area.  I love Kent, many happy times and lovely memories, as a child my Nan would take me with her 'hop-picking'.  In fact, I grow a hop plant as the smell of hops evokes memories.  Had a bumper crop this year, too bad I don't know how to make beer, haha.
We are about 10 minutes from Constable country.
