We have had Friday to Monday off and I have fallen down on my return waterings. Friday I rescued the plant from the broken pot and filled several stockings with rock salt for the gutters. Hoping that will help them melt. Ran errands Saturday and paid bills. Today I have tackled the pile of quilting and knitting magazines, books and patterns. The current big thing is to knit the Norwegian red hat that they wore to protest the troops from Germany during the last war. I am working on a donation blanket for the cardiac ICU and will start my red hat after that is done.
Kitties are sweet and still follow me from room to room. They like pets and playtime and I almost got to pet Penny during breakfast treats. She was on the end of my bed when I woke up this morning, so she isn’t that wary of me.
I have a medium large cardboard box that I have some old wrapping paper in, a few toys, and holes cut in the side. They love that box more than the multiple bins of kitty toys. Each at has a different favorite, so if I get new toys I try for the few that they like not the ones that I think they would like. I cut a few wedges out of the edge of a triangle scratcher so they can stick their paws under it and be silly.
I hope your flooding has receded. Our temps are coming up briefly but we still have lots of snow. The one bird feeder gets emptied in a matter of minutes to the benefit of the bunnies that come out at night to eat the seed. Stay safe and warm!
