Sprinkles!

Hi Cath, how are you? well the first shift at PO was a debacle.  I arrived at 2 am, there were no cars in the parking lot, I knocked but no answer, their phone system does not have an opportunity to leave a voicemail and at night it's just an automatic message, it doesn't actually ring in the building.  I waited around for 30 minutes and then went home; I left a note on the door- about 5 am I fell asleep and of course then they called and I didn't hear the phone.  But today I was able to work.  Looks like it will be 2 am - 8 am 6 days a week, I have a door code now so I can get in.  I am really out of shape!  After 6 hours of  scanning packages, lifting packages, cutting plastic wrap off pallets of packages and putting the packages into the correct bins, I was exhausted.  I came home, laid down for a nap about 11:30 am and slept til 5 pm!  I'm sure it will get easier as it goes along.  I live in a fairly s mall town (27,000 people, not like Minneapolis) and it's just a branch post office, that serves my town only.  I was foolishly thinking, how many packages can there be?  Well, I lost count when it went over 4,000 -  and everyone is saying, just wait a couple of weeks when the Dec

Good morning Cath. Adam has just come home with the Occ Therapists and managed to climb the stairs using his crutches. He did so well that he can come home on Friday am xx

Hi Cath. It sounds as though you all had a happy time shopping, nice to have had lunch out as well. It's a very cold morning here, woke to sleet falling which has turned to rain now. Sounds like you enjoyed you shopping with Ged and Natalie yesterday, was it busy ? Never been to Warrington, is it a good shopping place, Adara commented how much Norwich had changed and had more eating zones rather than retail shops. Yesterday went well with Margot was tired yesterday so was happy to stay on Sofa with a drawing book and Gabbys dollhouse house to watch haha they are rehearsing for school Nativity she said hundreds of time,,, Dad is ok had agood Catch up with him, I do however think he enjoyed my brother staying over and someone to talk to, and is now missing him , understandable, as long as it’s adry day he will get out  for bike ride and go to the little local shop,  you take care have a great Wednesday , chores for me Cath Yuk !! 🤣 not feeling that today, sending Love to all, xx💗
