Hello Mary,

Art Club today, i do hope i can cope. Our lovely wild duck returned last night. I think i am officially the grumpy old lady. quack quack quack quack ...lolz. If ducks are supposed to sleep at night this one didn't get the memo.
Ducks are highly social birds and rely on contact calls to maintain group cohesion. A duck that is separated from its flock, partner, or is the sole duck in an area  may quack continuously to signal its location and seek contact. - I googled....lolz - guess this silly duck needs a mate. Wish he / she would go look somewhere else.  But it was interesting to read.
