Though the sky has grown dark
There is no need to fear
Little sparkles of light
Show you fairies are near.
They will flit to your side
Sing you softly to sleep
With the breaking of dawn
Out the window they'll creep
You won't ever see them
Won't truly know they were there
Until you hear a tinkle of laughter
Feel something pull on your hair
See some crumbs on the table
Where there should have been none
And see the return of the fairy lights
With the setting of the sun.
