Its a magical time when children are small there minds are so open like sponges they learn so quickly. I missed out with some of my grandchildren as they moved so far away, and others (step grandchildren) stopped coming to stay when the reached the teenage stage. Always loved having the house full of children.. even other peoples seem to spend a lot of time here. Seems so empty now the last of them are teens and rarely visit me. Though Summer did pop in recently on her own. She would love to live here with me l think, we chat a lot when we are on our own. Still l have my memories of all the children . l have had in my care at home and at work. They too are all grown. Occasionally l see one or another of them(work or pub related folk) whilst out shopping or occasionally if l go to the local pub. They still call me mother, l laugh but love it really . But as some are in their late fifties makes me feel my age. I have wonderful memories of each and every one of them. Some had challenging behaviour , so was very surprised when a couple said they respected my way of dealing with them and said l had helped them . I was over the moon, but l will admit it brought a tear to my eye. So l kno
