Good afternoon Carmen, I hope you and mum both had a restful night? When I finally went to bed, I was out before my head hit the pillow I think! We don't really have a name fir 11/11. The nearest Sunday to that date is called Rememberance Sunday here and the King and other members of our Royal family lay wreaths at the Cenotaph together politician leaders and dignitaries from around the commonwealth. King Charles lays his on behalf of the nation. There is also short service and two minutes of silence when Big Ben strikes 11am. There is a parade of around ten thousand people leading up to the laying of the wreaths, ex service men and women of all ages, ex emergency service workers, carers of veterans, children of deceased service men and women who were killed during a war,

Girl Guides, representatives from organisations who support the services and veterans, it's very sombre and emotional, I can't actually watch it, I haven't been able to since I was a child. The whole thing is televised every year. Stores and businesses generally observe the silence or, at least give their staff and customers the option to but I can't imagine any would close early. I think it's a lovely thing if any of your stores do. We had the Northern Lights in the UK, it might have been last year and everyone in town was out taking photos or driving to nearby fields to take them with less light pollution. I'm so sorry you were poorly and unable to go, I was too, and where your sister took photos to send you, Luke took them for me. I hope you're doing better today?

Yes, there's no way the UK would do siestas either but we can dream LOL. Luke is very happy as the final parts to his fancy dress costumes arrived today and they all fit. Nayo and Luke are going to Comic-Con for two days and, of course, are going in character. I have no clue who either of them are going to be on either day as they're characters from Japanese Anime and thats not my thing at all 😂. Enjoy your day, I must go dive back in to my bills *sigh* and take care xx

It's lightly snowing and extremely grey today. Going to be a mix of snow and rain all day so they say. I'm tired I know that!
Didn't get all the computer work done but have to work out what to prioritize today, in other words don't feel like doing anything!
