The True Meaning of Christmas
Come one come all
around the festive tree
to bring Christmas joy
for all to see
Hail to the newborn;
The son of G-d
or so  we believe
For so it is said
in a manger bare,
nothing to cover
his small baby head;
wrapped in a shawl
or swaddling bands
lay the babe fast asleep
this story's been told
for two thousand years;
so raise a glass high
on this Christmas day
to all our relations
who've passed away
or those who believe
as you all celebrate
with Turkey piled high on
your festive plate
remember whilst opening
gifts, one or two
this saviour was born
in a manger for you
Raise your glass merrily
and happily say
Thank G-d for Jesus
and  for Christmas Day
