Hi Lizzy good afternoon sprinkle . It’s been raining since last night and not due to stop until tomorrow evening. There is already flooding as the local rivers are rising fast and some rural schools didn’t open today . The flood barriers are up in town as the river Wye will rise rapidly with all the rain in Wales. We had heavy rain on Wednesday I got absolutely soaked walking to school and it’s only a ten minute walk. I had put my phonics resources on the floor Tuesday afternoon went to use them Wednesday morning and the children’s folders were absolutely soaked walking to! The carpet was too ! The rain had either come through the floor or through the seals of the window. I left Wednesday and Rachel who works in the office was drying the children’s work all out on her radiator. Our classrooms are relatively new (10years old ) compared to the rest of the school. I hope the caretakers were able to fix it before last night . I’ve got two boys that I support throughout the day but for English and Phonics I have another two as well.
