Hello Deirdre, It's been a busy week and weekend here as we have to replace part of our wood deck. The floor is rotting in places. It lasted 16 years which is not bad for our extreme climate. All the boards are off now and some of the risers also need replacing, so it's a tricky job. I expect the price of lumber will be a shock! It's a lovely spot to be in the summer though, so worth fixing up. Also have been working on a painting of our beautiful flowering crabapple tree which is just past it's full bloom now. The painting is very abstract --about the  ephemeral beauty of the blooming period. It's also very textured - many many layers of paint.  Not sure if it will work out but i'm enjoying it at this point.  Your visit to Castlewellan sounded so nice. I looked it up and seems like a lovely spot, so nice you all enjoyed it! Was able to have a lovely massage this week and start working out a lot of tension in my back and neck. There wasn't enough time, so I will go back in a couple of weeks. Hope you've been enjoying the weekend! xo
