You must have needed the extra sleep.
Shirley was doing well. I trimmed Nora’s nails and she told me about her last 2 falls. I reinforced that it was good that she was in assisted living where there were people to come check on her. She has been working on a beautiful blue and yellow quilt that she made the blocks for many years ago. She can no longer put the blocks together but she kept trying and making a hash of it. So I asked her if she would let me put them together for her and she said yes! She also said that her sewing machine wasn’t working right which makes me think that her ability to operate the sewing machine has slipped as well. Her daughter arranged her room and it is lovely and welcoming for visitors to come for a spell. It is hard right now with how busy I am at work and the cold and ice to bring her over for a sewing day. If my schedule slows down in the new year I will try to go see her more often. She says she has made a few friends there and the aides all come to see Nora.
