Tommy has been very naughty he climbed half way down the bank and managed to climb on to one of the terraces which are covered with shingle. His problem was he couldn't get back again and was stuck in the hot sun. I think he's OK as I rescued him and offered him a drink which he refused and some tomatoes which he 'tried' then he went off and sat in the sun again, so I'm thinking no harm was done.

I really am going to have an 'early' night, I'm thinking half past 11 then I can be up to get things ready.

Hope the tree survives but in my experience you can kill anything if you try hard enough. LOL Sam had a bamboo in her garden, it was there when she moved in and was huge. People said you'll never get rid of it, well she told me they just set fire to it and it never came back. Drastic I'll admit but it worked..

I will add I'm shattered getting it all together unfortunately I couldn't find any price tags so I'll make it up as I go along. I visited the lady who organizes it and lives at the other end of Stephensons. She was really pleasant and said she'd put up balloons along the walkway and tell people to come to my end. It starts at 10 but she said she's usually outside by 8 o'clock. I did say that I couldn't promise to have everything ready by then, but she didn't mind.

As for the murder mystery I think they were a local group we'd not heard of and the singing was live unfortunately one of the soloists forgot most of the lyrics, one or two couldn't sing in tune and although we were told it was a murder and the person murdered was mentioned a detective walked about but we never heard what he was asking as they all kept singing. It was very strange, the only thing is I wanted to know who killed her. LOLOL

Hi Janet, it's been another sunny and warm 70 day and tomorrow it should be nearer to 75 and close to 80 later in the week. I went to look for some plants for the front garden but there was not much about, I suppose it's because it's a bank holiday so there were so many more people buying, I'll try again towards the end of the week.

When I got home I decided as the weather's going to be so good and there's a street sale on tomorrow I'd haul out a few puzzles and see if they sell. To be honest there are nearly 40 and if they don't sell I'll be taking them to the charity shop! I also found a few more bits that might go like 2 squirrel proof bird feeders. The only problem with them is the squirrels didn't like them neither did the birds! I also found 3 voile curtains to hang over a door which I've never used, sunglasses and goodness knows what else. I'm going to be brutal and anything left will be straight in my car for a trip to the charity shop.
