So 20 minutes ago my calendar door closed.  I needed reindeer to light my lights though I didnt care for the post as I already had it.  My hunting efforts were fruitless.

I opened the door again to the arctic fox - so good, my open tabs would have low veggies, so I started hunting.  I have spotted 3 reindeer. 

I have NO luck!

On the bright side, I just found todays critter to light the berries on the holly.  The unlit light is the holly leaves so I just have dark green leaves - still looks nice.

Freezing your garden can help if you're not having luck with a critter at a certain time. You could freeze, have tabs open to see if any plates are due or not, leave them open, go back to yours.. unfreeze and hunt. Last year I had to freeze and unfreeze loads of times when I couldn't find those pesky ducks..

Been years trying to build a Santa Snowman. Mt gold at the start of this game was over 2,000. Ran out and had to buy more today. Have you noticed that the very common, become the very rare, when you need them. Try adding gardens that look promising to your favourites. It sometimes works. I found the Robin behind the latest door very quickly today, but the Elf Mallards I need for the last item for my Santa, are very elusive.

Found the wrong buttons for my almost completed Santa. There has been the opportunity to discard butbseems to be missing. Please tell me there’s a way to reverse it. It’s taken ages to get this far.

If your buttons completed your snowman then I'm afraid you can't discard them.  The last item completes the snowman, and you can't change it after that.  So it's always best to leave the eyes or nose to last, since the Santa can use any eyes or nose.

And don't forget that the Elf Mice and Mallards only drop snowman parts, so hunt in those gardens.

I’m confused, (yet again!). I found my 5th Elf Mallard, but the buttons I got were black. Having got close to completing two Santa’s and making silly mistakes on both, I deleted them. Should I have left them? I now need to find another 5 which is a drag, because they’re all disguised as Elf Field Mice. I’ve found about a dozen today alone.

It must have been an ordinary Festive mallard, because the Elf mice and ducks only drop Elf parts.

The buttons for Santa are yellow and red, and come with a black belt.

At last I’ve managed to get a Santa snowman completed. It’s taken a long time. In my ‘travels’, Check the snowmen and the snow. Both caused me to lose two snowmen at the last item.
