There is no need to keep the used birthstones unless you want to - they aren't used for any challenges or tasks.

I threw away the used pond rocks and then had to redo them again when it was announced you needed them for a
new challenge (bottom dwellers?), I now keep a set (usually 6) of everything just in case.

What do you mean, Olaugh? Birthstones which already have been used (and which are grey now instead of coloured) can´t be used anymore for anything.

But I´m with Chuck - I always keep some for future.... just in case... you never know ;-)

i was told to hold on to some for bottom dwellers....so keep a few, i would say.

The bottom dwellers use used rocks from the pond section though, not used birthstones.

I keep at least six of everything because I'm a collector. I love the used birthstones though so I like to use them as pots. But nope, you don't need any if you don't want them.

Chuck is right. At the start we were told the pond rocks were 'one use only'! so we discarded them, then later found that we needed a 'used rock' to plant the coral so had to start collecting again by repeating myths. I also have now kept some 'used' birthstones in case Mike finds a use for them in the future :) You can though plant in the used birthstones & they actually look quite pretty!
