I am going to try for the next level of bee but I've forgotten how to do it.. Do I put out the pot with the highest number of the colour prior to the one I'm after and put the blossom seed in that? Do I then put an empty beehive out? And also how can I self gift them? HOpe this makes sense.

That's how it works, yes - use your "best" flower, leave out an empty hive, and try to make a hive with more of the colour you want than your best flower already has.

Thank you Tracey, does it help to put out more than one flower? I didn't seem to be able to progress to this next colour in any of the previous years.

It only helps to put out two flowers if they have the same number of the higher coloured petal. Otherwise you dilute the attraction if you have a second flower with fewer of the higher coloured petals. With two the same, the attraction for the higher colour over the lower colour doesn't increase, but you have a stronger setup for the bees overall so it can mean fewer mice.

You don't need a mushroom at all, unless you really want one. You'll get the odd mouse but the bees are easy enough without :)

But it would be much better with raised tables... otherwise you will get pygmy and white mice, too

Just use caution with high berries.....if you are due any adult frogs (by spotting complete sets of tadpole-froglet-frog in other underwater gardens) use a fully grown Dulcia Somniflora to deter them if you don’t want to waste unplanted spawn for later......
