I miss the time when new wildlife was introduced without being announced. There was a rush to the forums! I remember spotting my first robin - only there was no pic and no name just a white square!

I miss the nuts too, I remember when you couldn’t splash sooner than 5 minutes in a garden , it kept fairies from flooding the garden

It also led to unicorns being missed.

It was initially 15 minutes for some plants.

I remember the 5 minutes for watering but not the 15 minutes.  I also remember having an Endangered critter missed because of the 5 minutes!

Yes, the delay in watering was a right pain when you were attracting short-staying wildlife.  When people were water-fighting, some would water all of the plants they could, not realising (or not bothered) that it would block the garden from being watered at all for five minutes.

I can remember people trying to set up gaps before they'd allow people to water, to try and make sure that there was never more than a couple of minutes where a plant couldn't be watered.  It didn't always work though!

Yes I didn't realise I would be blocking the garden from being watered. I actually thought I was helping... Luckily back then I wasn't blocked!
