Spotted GP, but no bamboo?

I have an empty plate, and just spotted a Giant Panda but got no bamboo. Why would that happen?

I need bamboo, so I'll go spot something else, but I'd love to know why I got no bamboo on the panda spot. Both gardens had fg bamboo.

Hi Edea...are you sure the Bamboo in the garden you spotted the GP in was fully grown and not just Growing happily!

You need Fully Grown Bamboo in your garden
You need a cleared empty plate
You garden can't be frozen
There also needs to be Fully Grown Bamboo in the garden you spot one of the below:
Badger & Babies & Family
King Penguin (both land and underwater)
Magpie and Pairs of Magpies
Giant Panda (not the Red Panda)
Puffin (both land and Underwater)
Raccoon & Baby & Family
Skunk
Zebra & Baby & Family
Zebrafish

Spotting a Giant Panda gices you Double Organic Bamboo, the others all give a normal portion of Organic Bamboo
