Had indigo filled beehive for Brown Bear but Black Bear arrived and scoffed the lot! I assume the Black Bear will eat any colour of honey?? Hadn't bargained for that! Is there a way to prevent that happening again?

From what the wild life guide says, the black bear is attracted to any filled bee hive, with no deterrents. Maybe have a couple in your garen so it eats them instead?

When I was attracting them, I put an all red beehive to the left of the indigo or violet one. Blacks will eat red, but a brown will skip over to the indigo or violet and eat it. I went through a lot of red pots before the correct bear arrived.

This is a good thread about attracting the bears. Scroll down a bit where she talks about TWINS.
I have done this several times especially for the brown bear and it works well for saving your indigo and violet pots.
