I spotted a Topiary Golden Unicorn in a garden but it doesn't show up on my back wall. Also the other day I spotted 2 Topiary Meerkat and I didn't get credit for it on my task.  One more question I was on quest 7 of 9 (yellow) and inadvertently deleted my Topiary Ostrich, so I have no choice but to start again right?

from what I can see, you have spotted at least 1 topiary golden uni. I don't how many, but your back wall is colored in.
if your garden was frozen when spotting the top meerkats, then they won't count towards your task - you have to be open/thawed.
yes you have to restart yellow topiary - sorry you deleted by accident

Thanks for your help.  It's weird because I still don't see it on my back wall, I just spotted it approx 4 hours ago

It's totally ok. We all have these moments from time to time. I literally spotted something for a quest and was upset that it didn't count towards my spotting requirements. Took me a few minutes to realize I spotted in my own garden and that it will only count for attracting requirement ;)
