I thought I saw this somewhere but can't find it now.  I was in a garden sprinkling under an Orange Chameleon alert.  Suddenly it changed to a red alert.  What happened?  No one spotted the orange.

Did the orange flower change to yellow whilst the alert was happening, by any chance?

If the flower of the same colour as the chameleon changes colour, the alert will stop - but the chameleon will still come.

So what might have happened is that both an orange and a red chameleon were due.  The orange flower changed to yellow, and because the orange alert stopped,  the red one started.   Both colours were still coming - so the orange will still have shown up, but not at the time the alert stopped :)

No, no flower color changes at all.  I talked to the garden owner and she was still 3 chameleons away from a change.   That is what I thought would be the only reason.  Like when we are doing topiaries and you are sprinkling away and all of a sudden the plant changes to the next one.  But that didn't happen.  Think it could be a slight glitch?  It was the 2nd garden it happened in today with me.  Both of the alerts went from their respective colors (orange and yellow) to red and the red was spotted.  No orange or yellows were spotted. 

You could always use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page and ask FL Support to check on it :)

I did after I started this thread when it happened the 2nd time.  Thanks, very curious to see if anyone else has experienced it.

It happened to me a couple days back, the alert said an orange or yellow, but I ended up with a Red Cham instead. I just thought it meant that it was time for bed because I thought I was seeing things.  : D

it happened  to me too. I thought  i     was going nuts. the alert was orange then changed to red .  i know i was sprinkling the red flower in the garden and thought i may have been confused with that as  im pretty sure
it comes up as  - you have watered the red .

I am so glad I am not the only one.  I was beginning to think I was crazy, but it just happened AGAIN!!!
