Is it possible to buy these seeds? If concentrating on a quest where a Supershroom is necessary, it is difficult to acquire the necessary number of seeds by waiting for them to be dropped. It would help if there were other ways to find them without expending huge quantities of gold.

No, the only way to get them is to earn them.

The easiest way is usually to check your back wall and see which critters are the closest, then hunt those.

I don't know if you're actually trying to work on the butterfly challenge or not, but completing that challenge will open the ability to use forest rubies for supershrooms also.
