Hi, I just want a general consensus on how many hummingbird/indestructible nests that is enough to have? I have 4 currently, and am planning to make three more. Any reason to have more than 7? Just curious as to how many is considered a good number and why......thanks!

I think it just depends on how you want to use them.  They can only be used for the seasonal chicks / seahorses, ugly duckling fairytale, and cuckoo chicks.  So, someone who is really interested in one of those -- especially the seasonal chicks and seahorses -- may want several.  Someone who isn't, probably won't.  I don't have any hummer nests and plan to only do one if I ever do even that.  I just use the regular nests for the seasonal chicks so that I don't have to have a bunch of different nests to do those and the regular chicks.

Also, the most you could ever have in a garden would be 8 (all nests with one plate of food), so anymore than 8 at most would be a waste.

If you are building them for Easter eggs, you still need a table for food for the chicks.  So I would say max 8 if you just want to hatch Easter eggs and don't care about deterring mice & ducks.

If you want to go underwater for baby seahorses, you would need to leave room for the Underwater Toadstool, and probably another space for the Supershroom to deter the Mermaid after it goes underwater.

It would depend what the "Do You Have The Eggs Factor?" Quest requires at the higher levels.

The most you could have in your garden would be 7 because as well as all the nests and a plate of food, you'd want a plant to water.

If you are likely to want to have several eggs sitting in your garden at a time then maybe 7 would be necessary.  But given that you can't get "twins" if you have more than one egg, you might prefer to use fewer nests at a time.

I knew I was forgetting something Tracey - a plant! LOL!

LOL, yes -- that whole being able to water a plant thing gets all of us at some point. :)  Thanks for the correction, Tracey.

Good point about the plant! Bwahahahhahahahaha! Ok, I figured 7 would be max....thanks for the input!

I lived happily several years with 3 and never needed more, despite my "attract hundreds of chicks and seahorses" obsession. However for sake of one of my other little fairyland problems (I need to have 7 of everything if it's reasonably achievable) I am building more, currently at 6 and I hope to finish the 7th before the end of this month. I can't see how you would ever use more than that!
