Question about freezing the background effect

Andi and Eugene8 years, 4 months ago

Hi all--I froze my snow and flying Santa effects several days ago, and now I have a RFH zodiac plant that I just sprinkled to make the night sky effect. So here's my dumb question: Since I already have "Freeze Background" turned on, is the night sky also now included? Or would I have to "Freeze Background" again to get it added in? I thought I would have to sprinkle it separately, but I wanted to ask to make sure.

Another dumb question: Can you end "freeze background" early if you want? Or are you just in it for seven days regardless?

Your frozen background will be whatever it was when you froze.  Your night sky won't be part of that, so if you want to remove the zodiac plant but keep the dark sky, you would need to freeze the background again first.  Bear in mind that if you do that, it doesn't save the constellation in the sky (above the plant) since that comes from the plant itself - it just adds the dark sky to your frozen background.

If you click the star dust icon underneath your garden as if you were going to freeze your background and then click the View/Remove Individual Effects link, you can see which of your backgrounds are frozen, and which are currently in your garden but not frozen (ie added since you froze the background).

You can also use that link to remove effects you no longer want, but you can't get rid of effects where the plant giving the effect is still in your garden.

Hii.  I have never tried to freeze a background.  I would love to freeze a Halloween or Jungle theme...I am not sure how to do it.  Looking up at the last post, those only last for a 7 day period?

On the 'bar' just below your garden (where you buy tables/pots etc), one of the boxes will have 'white stars', that is the freeze background button. Once you have the background you want, you click on that button, it will show you what effects you have & ask if you want to freeze. It costs one stardust to freeze your background for a week. If you want to keep it, you have to renew every week with another stardust.

Aimee, if you want any spooky effects, you can plant a trick or treat seed, fully dusted, it takes one day for RFH....you will either get flying ghost, spooky eyes or spider (right & left). If a “treat” pops up, you get 50 gold! Beware some effects are combined. Like you can’t remove the grey/dark effect if you want Halloween effects....
