Thanks everyone.  Got new internet provider so can play again but am hectically busy so won't be around as much as in the winter.
Had a wonderful holiday in Mexico, can't wait to go again!, Swimming in the ocean can be ticked off my bucket list. I was joined by hundreds of fish which was a new experience.  Have even got a lovely tan which doesn't often happen. Also added a few pounds but we won't talk about that!
Both animals survived my absence but are happy to be home.

I am such an idiot! I have been writing for ages, probably about a whole page of waffle and just lost the lot because I saw the number 1 by the news and went to check it out grrrrr.
I froze last week, intending for the vases to mature in storage and to thaw the next morning but it's just been so hectic that I haven't got round to it but I hope to thaw today.  I prefer the rainforest  to the level 1-10 vases, much more pleasant to do. I only completed the advanced pot challenge for April once and finding and hosting the crane chick and the long eared owl were a right headache so I don't think I will be doing them again even though I like the special pots.

I took Charlie to Southampton yesterday to look at one of the uni's there. The journey was a nightmare. We left a bit later than we should have (family issues) and the M25 was chaotic  and when we got there, there were so many road works, finding a car park wasn't easy. Hence we got there a little late for the  "talk" that Charlie wanted to go to. We found the room then discovered that the talk had been at 10.30 not 12.30 as he thought, so we wandered around the buildings and met a really lovely lady who worked in the library who told us so much it really made up in some way for missing the talk. They have another open day at the end of June so if we go to that one we will travel down on the Friday and stay over so we get there bright and early.

Graham is doing ok. He was meant to have an MRI before he left the hospital following his TIA, of course that didn't happen.  He left the hospital being told to take his usual tablets plus another for BP, asprin for 3 weeks  only and Clopidrogel.  He got a call the weekend before last to make an appointment for the Monday at our local hospital to get it done. On the Tuesday he got a call from the consultant explaining that there are different types of strokes, one where you have a blood clot and another where the veins/arteries are thin and can leak. You guessed it - Graham had the second type so should not have had 3 weeks of asprin or the other blood thinners. We stopped them immediately and fortunately no harm seems to have been done.
Jean is currently sunning herself in Lanzarote if youn were wondering why she's frozen too lol.

Hi Evelyn, I don't really want to store them as I'd probably find one of the critters that I need and really want to get them out of the way. I wonder how often Mike will release the others and how many are there to come. I don't get my state pension until I'm 67. I don't know why they didn't just put it at 65. I know that people can live longer now but that doesn't mean that everyone is able (health wise) to work later in life. I wish I had a good private pension, unfortunately not. Wow, that is a good pension. You'll get your free bus pass in October. I get a 60  oyster card which means I can travel on buses and trains without paying. The card isn't actually free as the first year I paid £20 and I now pay £10 a year until I get my free bus pass. I do get my money back as I travel quite a bit for work. The government would tax us for breathing if they could.Thank you, it seems anything I plant for doesn't attract what I need and any critters I spot are no good either. I'll be freezing my garden tonight, hope to be back Thursday. Have a good week x

Hi Evelyn, it can be really difficult at times. I've lost quite a few clients that I've been fond of over the 8 years I've been a carer. I suffer with depression so their loss doesn't really help. I wish that Mike had released the new challenge first, I have enough of the jewel plants to complete the challenge. I don't know which critters to attract. I'm planting for ones that I haven't eliminated yet and getting nowhere and wasting so many diamonds and gold. I've not spotted any gold critters yet, but with my track record, I'm not holding my breath, Lol. I couldn't do the lottery pottery that many times. I've only done one and that was ages ago. I agree that they should be restricted to one person. I don't think I could do the advanced or extreme pots as they sometimes have critters that I can't set up for yet. I think I may have to take a long break from FL. I just don't have enough time to go hunting for critters. Perhaps if I get a chance to retire, I'll have time to play more. I'm not happy that they keep moving the retirement age, I've got to work until 2028, which is only 4 years away, but at this moment feels like a million years. Have a lovely weekend x

Hi Evelyn, I'm not too bad thanks although I had some sad news last week. One of my clients passed away. She had dementia and since the begining of the year she had got a lot worse. I've looked after dementia clients before but had never seen someone as bad as she had become. Very emotional and very confused. I came home one day after doing her care and burst into tears, it was hard not to break down doing her call. All I could do is try to comfort her. She had gone into hospital while I was on holiday last month and she was due to go into a nursing home as she needed 24 hour care. Her daughter told me that she had brightened up a bit and was more cheerful than she had been. She started to decline over a week ago and developed pneumonia. Her family were told that there was nothing they could do except make her comfortable and she passed last Friday. I had been her carer for quite a few years. It never gets any easier. I hope you and Colin are well x
